Mr. Elra F. "Buddy" Inman 78, of Whiteville passed on Saturday, May 4, 2024 in Liberty Commons.  He was born August 29, 1945 the son of the late  Elra Inman and Louise Barnhill Inman.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Jane Cole Inman; his parents, a nephew, Randy Edge and a brother-in-law, Norman Britt Edge.

Buddy owned and operated Inman Accounting in Whiteville for many years.  He received a Bachelors degree in accounting from UNC Pembroke.  He was a founding member of the Whiteville Rescue Squad.  He was a Mason and Shriner, a member of the Lebanon Lodge #207. He was active in Dixie Youth baseball serving as a former coach.

He is survived by a son, Donald Keith Inman of Winston Salem; a sister, Linda Inman Edge of Hallsboro; three grandchildren, Josh Inman, Brandon Inman and Ashley Nicole Allen; a great grandchild, Liam Inman; a nephew, Billy Edge and wife, Paula of Hallsboro; a niece, Denise "Dee Dee" Edge of Whiteville; great niece Tristyn Edge and great nephew, Kelly Edge.

His funeral service will be at 11:00 am Thursday, May 9, 2024 graveside in Peacock's Columbus Memorial Park with Rev. Mike Stubbs officiating.

His family will receive friends 10:00-11:00 am at Peacock Funeral Home prior to the graveside service.
