Cardie "Belle" Moore departed this life on Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at 89 years old. Belle was born December 6, 1934 to  the late Richard and Beulah Baldwin Freeman.  Belle married Calvin Haynes Moore.

Belle attended New Hope Baptist Church.  She spent many years working at MJB's as a textile worker.  Belle also ran a grill and arcade.  She had a special love for all the kids that came to have fun.  Belle enjoyed spending time with her family and friends  in her free time.  She enjoyed the outdoors working in her flowers and fishing.  Belle's smile and laughter will truly be missed.

Belle leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter, Joeita "Chris" Strickland of Wilmington; grandson, MichaelChambers (Tara) ofWilmington; Paige Fergusson (Frazer) of Wilmington; John Ameri (Addy) of the home; nephews, Daniel Watts of Northwest; niece, Amber, nephew, Dillon and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Haynes Moore, her parents, Richard and Beulah Freeman; a sister, Carrie Jane Watts.

Her funeral service will be at 3:00 pm Sunday, November 17, 2024 at New Hope Baptist Church with Rev. Michael Jacobs, Rev. Howard Jacobs and Rev. Zachary Jacobs officiating.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Her family will receive friends at 2:00 pm Sunday prior to her service at the church.
