Carol G (Gainey) Smith Obituary
Carolyn "Carol" G. Smith, 83, of Ash passed away on Saturday, February 10, 2024 at home surrounded by her loved ones. She was born June 24, 1940 in Citrus County, Florida, the daughter of the late William C. McLeod and the late Beatrice Miley McLeod.
She is survived by her spouse, Peel G. Smith; two daughters, Nancy White (Keith) and Sandra Wilson (Muriel), both of Ash; grandchildren, William McLeod (Angela), Phillip White (Jennifer), Justin White (Vicky), Wade White, Jeremy Wilson, and Christopher Wilson; and 15 great granchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Jimmy Gainey, Chandler Gainey and Cecil Gainey, two half-sisters and a half-brother.
Funeral service will be conducted 3:00 pm Thursday, February 15, 2024 at New Britton Church in Ash with Rev. William McLeod and Rev. William Chapelle officiating. The family will receive friends at 2:00 prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
