Carolyn Hilda (Babson) Ward

Carolyn Hilda Ward, age 73, of Nakina, NC died Friday, June 17, 2022 in her home surrounded by her family. She was born October 26, 1948 in Columbus County, NC. She is the daughter of the late Adalene Babson Formyduval and her step-father,Glenn Foy Formyduval.

She is survived by her husband, Freddie Coval Ward of the home; her son, Jerome Ward and his wife, Michelle of Nakina, NC; her daughter, Tammy Suggs and her husband, Jeff of Wilmington, NC; her grandchildren, Michael Suggs of Wilmington, NC, Chandler Ward and Brileigh Ward both of Nakina, NC.

Her visitation will be held Sunday, June 19, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the Peacock Funeral Home.

Her funeral service will be held Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at 11:00 AM in the Palmyra Baptist Church with Reverends John Robertson and Wayne Faulk officiating. Burial will follow in the Palmyra Baptist Church Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Matt Ross, Chris Ross, Shane Marlowe, Shane Formyduval, Ryan Williamson and Cliff Hawley.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to Lower Cape Fear LifeCare, 206 Warrior Trail, Whiteville, NC 28472.
