Clarence "Junior"" Henry Settlemyre

Mr. Clarence Henry Settlemyre Jr. 86, of Riegelwood passed on Saturday June 17, 2023. He was born August 25, 1936, the son of the late Clarence Henry Settlemyre, Sr. and Clovis Benton Settlemyre.

Mr. Settlemyre was an electrician with Federal Paper Board until retirement. He was a lifetime member of Carver's Creek United Methodist Church.  He was a mason, a member of  Waccamaw Lodge 596 and a member of Union Hall until retirement. He loved  traveling, playing  golf and was an avid racing enthusiast.

He is survived by a daughter, Diane S. Sykes of Leland;a brother, William "Bill" Settlemyre of Whiteville; five sisters, Joyce S. Riggs of Greensboro, Sue S. Clayter of Riegelwood, Brenda S. Marshall of Riegelwood, Cheryl S. Long of Lake Waccamaw, Debbie S. Ellington and husband, (L.C.) of Riegelwood; Seven grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by a son, Richard Glenn Settlemyre; two daughters, Gwendolyn S. Sykes and Bonnie S. Cromshaw.

His funeral service will be 3:00 PM Thursday, June 22, 2023 at Carver's Creek United Methodist Church with Rev. Ronnie Wilson officiating.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.

His family will receive friends Thursday 2:00 - 3;00 pm at the church prior to his service.
