Darlene (Owens) Faulk Obituary

Darlene Owens Faulk, 86, of Nakina, passed on Thursday, November 9, 2023 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice Angel House in Whiteville. She was born September 26, 1937, the daughter of the late William Robert Owens and Beulah Langley Owens. She was the widow of the late Elbert Faulk.


She is survived by three sons, Warren G Faulk (Tammy) of Chadbourn, Chris Faulk (Joyce) of Nakina and Bobby Faulk (Carla) of Tabor City; three daughters,  Robin Rivenbark (Rodney) of Whiteville, Byrlia Long (Major) of Nakina and Kathy Smith  of Nakina; two brothers,  Pat Owens (Lois) of Pine Tops, NC and Curtis Owens (Carol) of Glen Bernie, MD; a sister, Sandra Owens of Whiteville; nine grandchildren, Julie Watson (Nick), Aaron Stanley,  Heather Smith, William Faulk (Kristina), Jessica Faulk, Jacob Faulk, Sydney Faulk, Carson Faulk, and John Robert Faulk; and seven great grandchildren,  Madelyn Watson, Ella Watson, Abigail Hardee, Laine Stanley, Whitney Faulk, Wade Faulk and Ember Ward.


She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers, Burnice Owens and R.W. Owens, a son-in-law, Herb Smith, and  a great granddaughter, Layla Moorehead.


Darlene was a retired Certified Nursing Assistant having worked for 27 years in hospitals in Florida and Virginia and 15 years with Columbus Regional Medical Center. She was a member of Seven Creeks Baptist Church.


Funeral service will be conducted 3:00 pm Sunday, November 12, 2023 at Seven Creeks Baptist Church by Rev. Joe Turner. Interment will be in the Stocks Cemetery.


Family will receive friends 2:00 pm,  one hour prior to service at the Church.
