Deborah Dallas Obituary

Deborah Peterson Dallas, age 69 of Lake Waccamaw, NC died Sunday, February 26, 2023 in Columbus Regional Healthcare System, Whiteville, NC. She was born August 17, 1953 in New Hanover County, the daughter of the late John “Pete” William Peterson, Jr. and Phoebe Elwell Peterson.

She is survived by her husband, James “Mike” Dallas of the home, her daughter, Angela Blackwell and her husband, Charles of Whiteville, NC; her grandchildren, James and Grace Blackwell; her brother, John “Johnny” William Peterson, III and his wife, Tammy of Clinton, NC; her sister, Diane Peterson Beard and her husband, Jerry of Charleston, SC and her very special dog, Sammy.

Deborah worked and retired from Columbus Regional Healthcare System after more than 32 years of service to the hospital, finishing her career as Employment Coordinator.

Her visitation will be held Friday, March 3, 2023 from 1:00 to 2:00 PM in the Peacock Funeral Home.

Her funeral service will be held Friday, March 3, 2022 at 2:00 PM in the Peacock Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Barry Swain officiating. Burial will follow in the Whiteville Memorial Cemetery.
