Diane Jessica Vitale, 77, of Whiteville, North Carolina, passed away on August 16, 2025.

Born in Long Island, New York, to Mary and Felix Vitale, Diane grew up in Buena Park, California, and remained in Southern California until 2005, when she moved to North Carolina. From a young age, she was immersed in art and music — singing Italian opera as a child and known for her beautiful voice in high school. Throughout her life, she expressed herself through painting, drawing, crafts, piano playing, singing, and small business endeavors.

Diane was also a devoted animal lover. She is survived by her daughters, Maria Vena and Angela Gadley, and four grandchildren. Those who knew her will remember her vibrant spirit, humor, generosity, and her ability to find beauty and inspiration in the everyday.

Diane will be deeply missed and forever cherished in the hearts of those who loved her.
