Eddie Shane Jacobs Obituary

Eddie Shane Jacobs, 62, of Whiteville passed on Saturday, November 4, 2023 at Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical. He was born November 25, 1960 in Robeson County, the son of the late Ezzell Jacobs and Daphine Epps Jacobs.


He was a devoted family man who loved his parents, sisters, children and grandchildren. He worked as a welder with Jacobs Construction. He was an avid deer hunter.


He is survived by five daughters; Jenna Jacobs of Whiteville, Hali Jacobs of Whiteville, Santanna Bowen (Tracy) of Texas, Jessica Hawkins (Michael) of Bolton and Eden Jacobs of Whiteville; six sisters; Shelia Arp of Whiteville, Loretta Young of Hallsboro, Angela Floyd of Whiteville, Venessa Moore of Hallsboro, Kathy Griffin of Hallsboro and Crystal Sandy of Whiteville; three grandchildren; Layla Hawkins, Micah Spaulding and Trinity Spaulding.


He was preceded is death by his parents and a sister, Sharon Epps.


Graveside service will be conducted 2:00 pm Thursday, November 9, 2023 at the Jacobs Family Cemetery with the Rev. Dean Young officiating.


The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 pm Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at Peacock Funeral Home.


Serving as pallbearers will be Anthony Shannon Arp, Michael Moore, Christopher Monroe, Alex Monroe, Durkie Jacobs, Matthew Griffin and Angelo Arp.
