Edison Elkins, Jr. Obituary
Mr. Edison Julius Elkins, Jr. 80, of Whiteville, passed peacefully Thursday, October 22, 2020 at his home. He was born March 28, 1940 in Columbus County, NC the son of the late Edison Julius Elkins, Sr. and Hazel Smith Elkins.
Edison retired from R.J. Reynolds after more than 30 years of service. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, J.W. Elkins.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret Powell Elkins; son, Eddie Elkins and wife, Rachel of Clarkton; daughter, Kim Jones and husband, Chris of Atlanta; two grandchildren, Chase Elkins and Reese Elkins.
His graveside memorial service will be held 2:00 pm Monday, October 26, 2020 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery.
