Edna Naamah "June" McCall Walker passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 15, 2026, at the age of 86, at Shoreland Health Care & Retirement Center, Whiteville, NC.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin and Edna McCall, husband, Billy Walker, granddaughter, Sable Bullock, three brothers; Herman Wilson, Merrold McCall, E.R. McCall, and one sister Roslyn Phillips. Left to cherish her memory is her son, Mike "Too Tall" Walker (Trina), daughter, Lisa Blackwell all of Whiteville; granddaughters, Leslie Strickland (Jeremy) and Sadryne Duncan (Lee), grandson-in-law, Timothy Bullock; great grandchildren; Owen, Maddie, Katie-Jo, Evelyn, Jackson and Spencer, Sisters: Elizabeth (Lib) Smith of Dunn, Emily Roberson (Tom) of Elizabethtown; and one brother, Wayne McCall of Raleigh.

June loved to work and took pride in every job she ever held. Throughout her career she served in many roles, with her final position being warehouse manager for Prismaflex USA. She was known for her unwavering work ethic and her determination to do every task with excellence. She never quite understood how anyone could approach work with anything less that the dedication she brought every single day.

June found joy in the beauty of nature. She tended one of the most beautiful flower gardens imaginable and truly had a "green thumb." She delighted in sharing her flowers and bulbs with anyone she felt needed a little beauty in their life. It brings comfort to know she now rests in peace, able to walk through heaven's gardens----gardens even more magnificent than the ones she nurtured here.

Her feisty spirit, unwavering strength, and love for her family remained with her until her final moments. As we say goodbye for now, we rejoice in knowing June has entered her eternal home where she will be able to see, hear and walk again, reunited with loved ones and embraced by the peace she so richly deserves. Though she will be deeply missed, her memory will forever bloom in the hearts she touched.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at 2:00pm at Peacock's Columbus Memorial Park, Whiteville, officiated by Rev. Neill Smith.
