Edward Garfield "Pony' Spivey

Mr. Edward "Pony" Garfield Spivey  63, of Ash passed on May 16, 2021 at Columbus Regional Healthcare.  He was born January 12, 1958 in Portsmouth, VA. 

Mr. Spivey was a veteran of the US Army.  He was a crane operator in the construction industry.  He was an avid hunter.  

He is survived by his fiance, Donna Talbert and her grandchildren, Cody  and Joseph of Eagle Rock, VA; his mother,

Janet Carpenter of Rocky Mt., VA; a brother, Charles Spivey of Elizabethtown, KY; a sister, Christie Taylor of Danville, VA; an aunt, Gerry Simmons of Ash; a cousin, Grady "Shorty" Simmons and wife, Debra of Bolton, their son, Casey Bowen and wife, Jamie of Tabor City, their children, Lily, Aria and Abigail; his faithful companion, his pet dog, Gretchen.

He was preceded in death by his father, G. F. Spivey and a brother, Ronald Spivey.

He will be missed by all of his friends and family.
