Edythe Irene Cobb

Edythe "Sue" Irene Lee Cobb. 78, of Hallsboro went home to be with Jesus on Friday evening, November 4, 2022 at her home.  She was born June 12, 1944 in Oconee County, the daughter of the late Frank Clyde Lee, Sr. and Lola Irene Johnson Lee.  She was the widow of James Russell Cobb, Sr.

Edythe was a Registered Nurse with multiple organizations and retired from Home Heathcare. She was formerly a member of Crossroads Baptist Church in Seneca, SC and currently a member of Hallsboro Baptist Church.

She is survived by two sons, John M. Cobb and wife, Angela of Hallsboro, Jeremy L. Cobb and wife, Morgan of Seneca, SC; a brother, John D. Lee of San Diego, CA; two sisters, Martha L. Smith of Pinckney, MI and Miriann L. Gibbs of Port Orchard, WA; grandchildren, Faith A. Cobb, Grace M. Cobb, Nathaniel L. Cobb, Morgan A. "Drew"  Cobb, Caleb J. "CJ" Cobb.

She was preceded in death by her husband and parents, a son, James Russell Cobb, Jr.; brothers, Vernon Wright Lee, William "Pete" Fred Lee and Frank Clyde Lee, Jr.

Her funeral service will be at 2:00 pm Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at Leamon Rogers Memorial Chapel, Boys and Girls Home of NC, Lake Waccamaw, NC with  Rev. Scott Lewis officiating.  Burial will be in the Lake Waccamaw Hillcrest Cemetery.

Her family will receive friends 6:00 - 8:00 pm Monday, November 7, 2022 at Peacock Funeral Home.
