Mr. Ervin Tyson 85,  of Whiteville passed on Sunday, June 18, 2023 in Columbus Regional Healthcare.  He was born November 2, 1937 the son of the late Lewis Tyson and Frances Smith Tyson.  He was a self employed mechanic until retirement.

He is survived by his wife, Lila "Sue" Babson Tyson; three sons, Ronald "Rusty" Tyson, Dennis Tyson, Jon Tyson and wife, Rebecca all of Whiteville; two sisters, Careleen Suggs and Margie Sellers both of Whiteville; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, James "Jim" Tyson; two granddaughters, Cynthia "Flossie" Tyson and Ashley Madison;  brothers, Kelton Tyson and Marvin Tyson; sisters, Rosalee Lee, Estelle Tyson, Lucy Penny and Leta Lee, His parents.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday June 21, 2023 at 10:00am at Old Dock Methodist Church in Whiteville NC, with the service to follow at 11:00am, with the Rev. Colton Reaves officiating.

Serving as pallbearers will be Rusty Tyson, Dennis Tyson, Randy Suggs, Carlisle Suggs, Kelly McCormick and Roger Wiseneske.
