Estalene Rhodes Godwin 84, of Lake Waccamaw passed on Tuesday July 1, 2025 at Columbus Regional Healthcare Center in Whiteville. She was born on September 10, 1940 in Columbus County, the daughter of the late Woodrow Rhodes and Lizzie Clark Rhodes.

She is survived by her Nephew, Shane Rhodes (Deanna) of Nakina; a Niece, Tammy Rhodes of Nakina; Great Nephew, William Gary Chase Rhodes; Great Nieces, Samantha Greigh Hinson (Derek) and Anna Blackman; Aunt, Ella Gray Kerr of San AnSelmo California; Great-Great Nephews, Miles and River; Great-Great Niece, Kammie; Cousins, Kim Clark and  Dale Clark (Denise); Family friend, Candy Green.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Husband, Wayland Godwin; Brothers, Lloyd and Floyd Rhodes.

Her funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday July 6, 2025 at Peacocks Chapel by Rev. Dr. Slade Skipper.  Burial will follow at Lake Waccamaw Hillcrest Cemetery. 

Her family will receive friends one hour prior to her service at Peacock Funeral Home.
