Ethel Mae (Jones) Ward Obituary

Mrs. Ethel Jones Ward 89, of Nakina passed on Saturday, August 31, 2024 in Columbus Regional Healthcare.  She was born September 6, 1934 in Columbus County, the daughter of the late Willie and Fannie Mae Jones.


She is survived by a son, Ray Ward of Destin, Fl.; a brother, D. F. Jones (Glenda) of Cary, NC; a sister, Alease Register (Albert) of Hampstead, NC; grandchilldren, Andy Ward, Wesley Ward, Elizabeth Ward, Courtney Ward, Kent Ward, Nicholas Ward.


She was preceded in death by her husband, parents,  sons, Kenneth Ward and Gary Ward; brothers, Bud Jones, Sammy Jones and Gene Jones; a sister, Betty Cartrette; a grandson, Mark Ward.


Her funeral service will be at 2:00 pm Wednesday, September 4, 2024 at Nakina Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Roger Coffey officiating.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.


Her family will receive friends on Wednesday at 1:00 pm at the church  prior to her service.
