Florence Annell Benson

Mrs. Florence Annell Benson 81, of Delco  passed on Saturday, February 13, 2021 in New Hanover Regional Healthcare.

She was born April 23, 1939 in Columbus County, the daughter of the late Charles Madison Dale and Lillie Malpass Dale.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Houston Randall Benson.

Annell or Flo, as she was lovingly called,  was a joy to all who knew her.  She loved her family and spent her days enjoying time with them.   She was always ready, - lipstick on for any adventure!  She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister , aunt and friend.  Her best days included being with her loved ones, sharing a laugh, and of course a good cold pepsi.

She is survived by three daughters, Laura Bordeaux and husband, Phillip of Riegelwood, Angie Sutton and husband, Ray of Waverly Hall, GA, Karen Connor and husband, Ray of Delco; grandchildren, Justen (Sam), Kimber (Kevin) McKenzie, Kylie, Leah, Landon and Logan; great grandchildren, Kamden, Kolin, Garrett and Banks; a brother, Charlie Dale, Jr. and wife, Cindy of Delco, four sisters, Betty Applewhite and husband, Nelson, Alberta Little and husband, Benny, Sue Lennon and husband, Billy and Peggy Malpass all of Delco; daughter-in-law, Pam Benson of Bolton and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death are her husband and parents, a son, Ronnie Benson and a grandson, Brent Bordeaux.

Her funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 am Thursday, February 18, 2021 at Piney Grove Advent Christian Church by Rev. Ray Sutton.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.
