Garland "Bill" Lawrence Skipper Obituary
Garland Lawrence "Bill" Skipper 84, of Whiteville passed on Friday May 12, 2023 in Lower Cape Fear Lifecare Angel House, Whiteville. He was born December 1, 1938 in Columbus County, the son of the late Glenn and Daisy Ward Skipper.
Mr. Skipper was a car dealer, truck driver and sold produce. His hobbies were fishing, gardening and bowling which was his favorite.
He is survived by his children, Ricky, David and Theresa; a brother, Elmer "Jay" Skipper, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, sister-in-law, Betty Skipper.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Douglas Skipper, a sister, Marie Boyce and an infant brother, Howard Skipper.
His funeral service will be at 2:00 pm Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at Peacock Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kenneth Skipper, Dr.Tommy Bryson and Dr. Welma Skipper officiating. Burial will be in Peacock's Columbus Memorial Park.
His family will receive friends 1:00-2:00 pm Tuesday at Peacock Funeral Home prior to his service.
