Gary Clewis 69, of Whiteville entered in to his heavenly home on October 14, 2024. He was born on February 14, 1955 to the late Austin Clewis and Gertrude Long Clewis.
Gary was always known for his selfless compassionate nature. His love for fishing, grilling and taking evening rides in his little van down the road. Looking and taking in the changes of the weather and Gods glory. He had a love so great for his family and children. But, most of all he loved riding to the end of the field with his loving wife, Sue and cooking, checking his pear trees and grape vines. He would always help others before himself and he had a heart of gold. His presence is and will always be missed.
He is survived by a wife, Wanda Sue Clewis; daughters, Pam Norris (Russell) of Whiteville, Amy Ferguson of Tabor City (Special Friend John Long), Holly Ragan (Philip) of Whiteville; brother, Wayne Clewis (Edwina); grandchildren, Heather Mclamb, Brittany Long, Ethan Norris, Nathan Norris, Kelsey Ball, Adley Ragan; great grandchildren, Kiley Clewis, Garett Clewis, Lucas Mclamb, Kyndall Grace Mclamb, Cory Long, Desmond Smith, Preston Norris, Iver Norris, Calab Norris, and Avery Ball; nephew, Ethan Clewis (Nikki); great nephews & nieces, Rosalie, Masen and Dakota.
He was preceded in death by his parents; beloved brother, Mitchell Clewis; his beloved dogs, Sheba and Little Bit.
The family will receive friends at 2615 Crusoe Island Rd. Whiteville, NC and a private family service will be held at a later time.
