George "G.F." Hines

Mr. George (G.F.) Hines of Whiteville, NC. passed away November 1st 2023. He was born in Columbus County, NC the son to the late George Hines and Lillion Hines.

Mr. Hines retired from the US Postal Service and was a veteran of the United States Army. He was also a cornerstone member, deacon and Sunday school teacher of Peace Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Ruby Hines; his daughter Gail Peterson (Jeff) of Whiteville NC; one granddaughter Heather Batts (Chris) of Wilmington NC; three great grandchildren Stephanie Batts, Layla Faith Batts and Asher Batts.

His funeral service will be held Friday November 3rd at 3:00pm at Peace Baptist Church in Whiteville NC, his family will receive friends one hour prior at 2:00pm with the Rev. Steven Cox and Rev. Chip Hannah officiating. Burial will follow at Peacock's Columbus Memorial Park.
