Gladys Marie (Prince) Herring

Mrs. Gladys Marie Prince Herring, 74, of Whiteville, passed Thursday, December 3, 2020.  She was born April 17, 1946 daughter of the late Odell and Lucille Ward Prince.

She was a member of White Marsh Baptist Church.

Mrs. Herring was preceded in death by her husband, Thurman Ellis Herring, Jr.; her parents; brother, George Prince; sister, Betty Hinson.

She is survived by two sons, Timothy Ellis Herring of Whiteville, John Wesley Herring; one daughter, Kimberlyn Parker of Whiteivlle; four brothers, Sonny Prince of Whiteville, Jimmy Prince and wife, Regina of Monroe, Ronald Dale Prince of Andrews, NC, Gene Prince and wife, Mary of Kentucky; three sisters, Ruby Register of Whiteville, Libby Prince of Whiteville, Peggy Smith and husband, Jeff of Scottsburg, VA; nine grandchildren, Kristina Parker Simmons and husband, Matthew of Shallotte, John Courtney and wife, Brittany of Clarkton, Ronald Courtney of Bladenboro, Loggan Courtney of Bladenboro, Sarah Keziah and husband, Andrew of Monroe, Amanda Anderson and husband, Chris of Monroe, Emily Herring of Monroe, Eric Williamson, Jr. and wife, Shea of Oak Island, Lauren Herring of Bladenboro; many great grandchildren.

Her graveside service will be held 3:00 pm Sunday, December 6, 2020 at Whiteville Memorial Cemetery by Rev. Ray Yow.
