Harry Preston Smith

Mr.Harry Preston Smith 90, of Hallsboro passed on March 12, 2021 in Lower Cape Fear Lifecare Center, Whiteville.  He was born August 9, 1930 in Columbus County the son of  the late Walter and Dorothy Smith.  

He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Hood Smith; a step daughter,  Lynda Dunn, his parents;  a brother, Kenneth Smith.

Mr. Smith was a veteran having served in the US Army.  He retired from International Paper.

He is survived by a stepson, Ivan Williams; two grandchildren, Tabitha Kern and husband, Chris of Lake Waccamaw, Amanda Dorsch and husband, Stephen of Nakina; five great grandchildren, Danica Kern, Natalee Kern, Maggie Kern, Mila Dorsch and Layla Dorsch.

His funeral service will be at 3:00 pm Sunday,  March 14, 2021 graveside at Peacock's Columbus Memorial Park.
