Henry Grady Lennon

Henry Grady Lennon, Jr. 81, of Clarkton died Wednesday October 10, 2018 in the Columbus Regional Healthcare System. He was born December 22, 1936 in Columbus County, the son of the late Henry Grady Lennon, Sr. and Lalan Tart Lennon.  

Mr. Lennon served in the United States Navy and retired after 40 years as Chief Engineer in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

He is survived by his wife, Johnsie Cooke Lennon; a daughter, Monica Lennon Worley and husband, Russell, of Clarkton, NC; a son, Joey Lennon of Clarkton, NC; four grandchildren, Alex Lennon, Lauren Worley, Anthony Lennon, Christopher Lennon; six sisters, Melba Williams of Shallotte, NC, Rachel Roeda of Raleigh, NC, Rebecca Parrent of Cornwallvile, NY, Carol Garrell of Charlotte, NC, Margaret Register of Lugoff, SC, Sally Little of Charlotte, NC.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Eva Squires and Mary Long.

The family will receive friends 11:00 am-1:00 pm on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at Peacock Funeral Home.
