Hilda (Ward) Butler Obituary
Mrs. Hilda Ward Butler 90, of Whiteville passed on September 4, 2025 in New Hanover Novant Medical Center in Wilmington. She was born March 25 1935 in Columbus County the daughter of the late Leamon Ward and Cleo Gore Ward.She was a member of First Baptist Church in Whiteville.
She is survived by her husband of 71 years, Carl Butler, Sr.; a son, Carl Butler, Jr. of Whiteville, a daughter, Scarlet Butler Crabtree and husband, Eddie of Greenville, NC; a grandson Stone Baldwin and a granddaughter, Sky Baldwin.
Her funeral service will be at 2:00 pm Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at Peacock Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Fred Senter officiating. Burial will be in Peacock's Columbus Memorial Park. Her family will receive friends at 1:00 pm Tuesday prior to her service at Peacock's Chapel.
