Howard Ashley Ward 78 of N. Myrtle Beach SC formerly of Nakina passed Saturday September 14, 2024 in N. Myrtle Beach. He was born October 16, 1945 in Columbus County the son of the late Johnnie A. Ward and Allie Lee Ward.
He co-owned H & W Glass. He was a veteran having served in the US Army and a member of Nakina Baptist Church.
He is survived by sons, Steven Ward (Katina) of Ocean Isle Beach and Rodney Ward (Gina) of Nakina; a brother, Ronnie Ward of Nakina; sisters, Marie Brown of N. Myrtle Beach and Shelby Whaley of Nakina; a grandson, Lawson Ward.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Hilda Hardee Ward, his parents and a brother, Charles Ward.
His funeral service with military honors will be at 3:30 pm Wednesday, September 18, 2024 at Peacock Funeral Home Chapel with Rev.Colton Reaves officiating. Burial will be in Peacock's Columbus Memorial Park.
His family will receive friends 6:00 -8:00 pm Tuesday, September 17, 2024 at Peacock Funeral Home.
Serving as his Pallbearers are Phillip Whaley, Joe Jacobs, Nathan Whaley, Terry Whaley Jr., Walter Whaley, Nicholas McRae and Brandon Ward.
