Ila Gore Obituary

Ila Cox Gore, 77, of Nakina, NC, passed on September 27, 2023, at her home. She was born June 10, 1946, the daughter of the late Carson Thomas Cox and Carrie Parker Cox. She is the widow of the late David Ralph Gore.

She is survived by sons, Lonnie David Gore, of Nakina, Lesley Neil Gore, of Nakina; a daughter, Lisa Klisiewecz (William) of Benson; a brother, James Cox; a sister, Jeannie Bullard; grandchildren, Brooke Dalee Gore, Matthew Brett Gore, Alyssa Kathryn Gore (Joseph), Alexander, Elizabeth, Peter, Kimberly and Sophia Klisiewecz, ; great grand children, Jacob Alton Gore, Riley Elizabeth Gore, and Emberleigh Rayne Gore.

She was proceeded in death by her husband and parents; two brothers, Carson Cox, Jr. and David Cox.

Her funeral service will be at 3:00 pm, Sunday, October 1, 2023, at Gores Chapel Baptist Church, with Rev. Glenn Lane officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends 2:00 -3:00 pm, Sunday prior to her service at the church.
