Isaac Harley "Junior" Simmons 85, formerly of Bolton passed on Thursday, April 23, 2026 at Premier Living at Lake Waccamaw.  He was born November 13, 1940 in Brunswick County, the son of the late Isaac Simmons and Margaret Smith Simmons.  

He was a member and deacon of Bolton Baptist Church.  He was a co-founder of the Bolton Volunteer Fire Department.  Fishing was his favorite hobby.  He was employed with Wilson Tree Company for 40 years and formerly owned and operated Bolton Saw Shop.

He is survived by his wife, Ruby Godwin Simmons; a daughter, Shelia Turbeville and husband, Keith of Bolton; brothers, Ted Simmons and wife, Yvonne of Ash, Cordell Simmons and wife, Sue all of Ash; sister, Bonnie Rogers of Boiling Spring Lakes; grand child, Kristin Clark of Bolton; many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a son, William Simmons; a brother, Tommy Simmons and his parents.

His funeral service will be at 3:00 pm Sunday, April 26, 2026 at Bolton Baptist Church by Rev. Sterling Sarvis, Rev. Timmy Blair and Rev. Phil Addison.  Burial will be in the Inman Cemetery, 5902 Old King Rd.NW,  Ash, NC 28420.

His family will receive friends 2:00 pm Sunday at Bolton Baptist church prior to his service.
