J. Alan Gore

Mr. John Alan Gore, 64, of Tabor City died Tuesday, March 07, 2017 at McLeod Seacoast Medical Center, Little River, SC. He was born in Columbus County, the son of the late, John M. Gore and Daphine Rhodes Gore.

He was an Associational Missionary with the Dock Baptist Association; a member, Sunday School teacher and pianist at Olyphic Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn King Gore; a daughter, Crystal Cate and husband, Dan of Tabor City; a son, Christopher Gore and wife, Audrey of Tabor City; grandchildren, Krystyn and Daniel Cate, Benjamin, Isaiah and Greyson Gore; a sister, Darlene Bass and husband, Kenny of Whiteville; a brother, John Mark Gore of Vinings, GA.

His funeral service will be at 2:00 pm Thursday, March 9, 2017 at Olyphic Baptist Church by Rev. Dave Williams. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

His family will receive friends 6:30- 8:30 pm Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at Peacock Funeral Home.
