J.C. Clewis Obituary
Mr. J.C. Clewis 77, of the Crusoe Community, Whiteville passed on Sunday December 31, 2022 at his home.
He was born May 30, 1945 in Columbus County, the son of the late Mack Clewis and Mary Olive Long Clewis.
He is survived by his daughter, Angela Clewis Rowe and husband, Jimmy of Whiteville; a sister,
Alice Faye "Pebo" Clewis Ward and husband, Jesse of Bolivia; four grandchildren, Selena Rowe Surles and husband, Sherman of Whiteville, Jessica Rowe Chenier and husband, Josh of Whiteville, David Clewis of Whiteville, Anna Clewis Kennedy and husband, Craig of Chadbourn; thirteen great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Gertrude Clewis; four sons, Christopher, Andre, Darrin and Erin Clewis; a grandson, George Rowe; a, sister, Carolyn Best and a brother, Baby Clewis,
