J.H. Kelly 85, faithful servant of God, devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and loyal friend passed at his home in Wilmington on Monday, May 24, 2021. He was born in Columbus County, the son of the late Van Kelly and Nina Smith Kelly.
J.H. graduated from New Hanover High School. He was a member of The Gideon's International. He was a salesman for Sears Roebuck and Co. for 37 years.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy Faye Stocks Kelly; two sons, Tony Kelly and wife, Minerva of N. Myrtle Beach, SC and Tim Kelly and wife, Brooke of Wilmington; a daughter, Sandra Britt of Freeman; grandchildren, Nina Britt, T.J. Kelly and wife Scot, Kelli Faulk, Lacie Kelly, Abigail Delacruz and husband, Geovanny, Stephanie Kelly, Luke Kelly, Brittney Kelly, and Ellis Kelly; great grandchildren, Andee Grace Faulk, Pearson Faulk, Jamie Kelly, Olivia Britt, Ayden Delacruz, Ariana Delacruz; and many loved nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Lucille Duski, Elizabeth Maultsby; brothers, Robert Kelly, Layton Kelly and Blake Kelly.
His funeral service will be at 11:00 am Thursday, May 27, 2021 graveside at the Union Grove PFWB Church in Delco with Rev. Julian McMillian officiating.
Serving as pallbearers will be T.J. Kelly, Luke Kelly Scott Farrar, Doug Strickland, Michael Rhode and Larry Long.
