James Freeman Obituary
James Cephas Freeman, 88, of Buckhead passed away May 18, 2024. He was born January 3, 1936 in Columbus County to the late Sylvester Freeman and Leta Patrick.
He is survived by his Sons; James Clennis Freeman of Bolton, Craig Allen Freeman of Bolton, William James Freeman of Bolton & Nicky Lynn Freeman (Tammy) of Hampstead; Daughters, Wendy Ledoux of Bolton, Ivy Sulane Peyton of Whiteville & Chris Ann High (Johnny) of Whiteville; Brother, Anthony Dale Jacobs (Melissa) of Bolton; Sisters, Irene Young of Bolton, Phyllis Murray (Ray) of Wilmington & Letress Hammonds (Randy) of Lumberton NC; Fourteen Grandchildren & twelve Great- Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his Wife, Nettie Mae Freeman; his Parents; Step-Father, Lofton Jacobs; Grandsons, Danny Peyton & Stevie Peyton; Great-Grandson Christopher Freeman; Siblings, Gurney Freeman, Wilton Ray Freeman and Mary Arrator Jacobs.
His funeral service will be held at New Hope Baptist Church Wednesday May 22, 2024 at 3:00 pm with the Rev Zack Jacobs, Rev. Mike Jacobs and Rev. Jacob Young officiating.
The family will receive friends one hour prior at the church.
