James Harry Mitchell, Jr.

James Harry Mitchell Jr 49, of Bolton, NC, went to be with Lord on Monday, May 1, 2023. He was born March 9, 1974 in Buffalo NY, the son of the late James Harry Mitchell and Diana Endres Mitchell.

James moved around most of his life. Upon graduating, Loris High School in Loris, SC. James joined the US Air Force, where he served for 8 years as a hydraulic mechanic stationed in Dover, DE.  Upon returning from the Air Force, James resided in North Carolina; where he planted his roots and grew his family. Over the years, James was employed with Rampage Yachts as a Line Supervisor, Southport Boat Works as a Hull Stall Crew Chief, before settling down at Coatings and Adhesives as a Polymer Operator. James enjoyed spending time with family and friends, riding motorcycles and four-wheelers, shooting the breeze, and always living on a spare of the moment- on the go type of life. Never could be still. James lived a full life, serving his country, raising a family, and making friends along the way.

James leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Lindsey Patrick Mitchell of the home; his son, Tristan Kain Mitchell (wife Kara): his daughter, Skyler Jennings Mitchell both of Currie, NC; Brother, Charles Joseph Mitchell (CJ) of North Myrtle Beach, SC. Dear to his heart baby boy, Bentley Allen Tanner of Kelly, NC; and a host of family, honorary nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.

Preceded in death by his parents, James Harry Mitchell and Diana Endres Mitchell; maternal grandparents, Elias Joseph Endres and Edith Butler Endres; paternal grandparents, James Harry Mitchell Sr. and Edith Mitchell.

His funeral service will be at 4:30 pm Sunday, May 7, 2023 at Peacock Funeral Home Chapel with Zachary Jacobs officiating.

His family will receive friends 3:00 - 4:30 pm Sunday prior to his service at Peacock Funeral Home.
