James Thompson Obituary
Mr. James Earl Thompson of Whiteville, NC passed on October 25, 2023. He was born in Robeson County, NC the son of the late George Thompson and Minnie Lewis.
He is survived by his wife Ruth E. Thompson, a daughter Beverly Tingley of Woodstock, Canada; a brother Ronald Thompson (Brenda) of Whiteville, NC; a niece, Rhonda Thompson; a sister Sarah Ward of Whiteville, NC; a Nephew, Benny Ward; five Grandchildren; and ten Great Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Cindy Thompson of Greer, SC.
He was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church and was a truck driver who owned and operated a truck for over 53 years.
His graveside service will be held at 11:00am Saturday, October 28, 2023 at Peacock's Columbus Memorial Park with the Rev. Paul Lambert, and Rev. Corey Boyd officiating.
