James Tillman "Buddy" Key

James Tillman “Buddy” Key 61, of Hallsboro died Sunday, October 20, 2019 at his home. He was born February 7, 1958 in Manatee County the son of the late Arthur Tillman Key and Thelma Jean Jones.

He was preceded in death by his son, David Strickland; parents.

He is survived by his wife, Elsie Miller Key; son, Darrell Key and Tabatha Hilburn of Whiteville; stepsons, George Strickland and wife, Cynda, Albert Strickland all of Columbia, SC; daughters, Amanda Key and Sammy Faircloth of Hallsboro, Odessa Handcock and husband, Jeff of Hampton, VA, Libby King of Lexington, NC, April Barron and husband, Freddy of Ash; 30 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; brothers, Deryle Key of Washington State, Clay Thompson of Pelian, SC, Chris Posey of Chadbourn, Jeffery Posey of Greenville, SC; sister, Karen Locklear and husband, Roger of Tabor City.

The family will receive friends from 6:30-8:30 pm on Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at Peacock Funeral Home.
