Jeanette (Tompkins) Fowler

Mrs. Jeanette Tompkins Fowler, 83 of Whiteville passed on October 14, 2020 in New Hanover Regional Medical Center.  She was born April 19, 1937 in Columbus County, the daughter of the late Pounce and Pearl Cartrette Tompkins.  

She was preceded in death by a son, Roger Dale Fowler, a daughter, Cheryl Ann Hayes, her parents and several brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Floyd Mason Fowler; two sons, Richard Fowler and wife, Meriam, Rodney Fowler both of Whiteville; two daughters, Sharon Penny and husband, Mitchell, Bobbie Bailey and husband, Bill both of Whiteville; grandchildren, Kevin Penny, Patricia Duncan and husband, Jeff, Sunny Etheridge and husband, Charles, Josh Fowler and wife, Savannah, Pam Gore and husband, William, Tammy Pinyan and husband, Randy, Nick Hayes, Karen Collins and husband, Nick, D.J. Fowler, Dustin Fowler, Quinten Fowler, Brandon Fowler, Kaela Fowler; twenty-one great grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; a brother, Bill Tompkins and wife, Esther of Tabor City.

Her graveside service will be held 3:00 pm Friday, October 16, 2020 at the Fowler Cemetery by Rev. John Beattie.
