Mr. James "Jimmy" Dawson Parker, Jr., 52, of Whiteville, passed Friday, July 17, 2020 at Atrium Health Union Hospital in Monroe, NC. He was born October 16, 1967, in Columbus County, the son of Jimmy Dawson Parker, Sr. and the late, Joann McDaniel Parker.

Jimmy was the owner and operator of The Village Buffet and Frosty Freeze Ice Cream Shop in Whiteville, NC.

He was preceded in death by his son, Jimmy Dawson Parker, III and his mother.

He is survived by his wife, Kimberlyn Parker; son, Jason Parker of Virginia; daughter, Candice Smith and husband, Aaron of Whiteville; stepchildren, Kristina Parker of Shallotte, John Courtney and wife, Brittany of Clarkton, Ronald Courtney and Loggan Courtney both of Bladenboro; grandchildren, Madison Parker, Ryleigh Reagan, Mason Parker, Aubrey Smith, June Parker; step-grandchildren, Skylar Courtney, Lillie Parker, Kinsley Simmons, Chloe Courtney, Colton Courtney, Cambree Courtney; father, Jimmy Dawson Parker, Sr. and wife, Jennifer of Whiteville; brother, Chris Parker of Whiteville.
