John Charles Tefft

John Charles Tefft 83, of Lumberton, N.C. passed on June 8, 2026 in Cumberland County. He was born on June 29,1942 in Oneida, N.Y. the son of the late Charles Wesley Tefft and Martha Izora Boden.

He is survived by his loving wife, Carol Ann Tefft; Daughters, Jody Marshall from Oneida N.Y., Sherry Ward of Houston T.X.; son, John Tefft II; brother, Frank Brass of Mississippi; step daughter, Tammy Riggall of Lumberton, N.C.; grandchildren, John Tefft III, Allie Marshall of Vernon, N.Y., Amanda Lancaster, Shawn Cummings, Corrina West, Nicholas Marshall; great grandchildren, Bailee Thompson, Layken Lancaster, Hartley Lancaster, Elora West; brother-in-law, Carlton Cornish.

He is preceded in death by his parents; sister Helen Smith; and great grandchild, Kenzlie Cummings.
