Joyce Herring Obituary

Mrs. Joyce G. Herring 75, of Whiteville passed on Sunday, May 30, 2021 in Shoreland Healthcare and Retirement. She was born July 18, 1945 in Columbus County.

She is survived by a son, William Billy Hannon of Whiteville and a daughter, Lorie Canady and husband, Chris of Hallsboro; grandchildren, Amanda Hannon and fiance, Kyle Cook of Whiteville, Chelsea Nance and husband, Brett of Chadbourn; four great grandchildren, Carson Skipper, Cali Brewer, Ryder Nance and Nixon Nance, sisters-in-law, Bernice Griffin of Beaverdam and Kathy Griffin of Clarendon.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Horace Griffin and Ada McPherson, her husband, Mike Herring, a son, Steve Hannon, brothers, Billy Griffin and Wilton Griffin.

Her funeral service will be graveside at 3:00 pm Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at Peacock's Columbus Memorial Park with Rev. Willard McPherson officiating.
