Juanita (Suggs) Russ

Mrs. Juanita Suggs Russ 91, of Whiteville passed on Saturday, March 16, 2024 in Columbus Regional Healthcare.  She was born November 15, 1930 in Columbus County, the daughter of the late Garner Suggs and Scottie Milligan Suggs. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Vance Russ; her parents; a daughter, Miriam Smith;  brothers, Thomas Suggs and Harold Suggs; a sister, Emma Lou Ganus.

Mrs. Russ was a member of Old Zion Weslayan Church.  She was a bookkeeper for Southeastern Lifestock Market until retirement.

She is survived by her daughter, Juanita Yvonne Sellers of Whiteville; grandchildren, Kimberly Brownholtz (Blake) of Lexington, SC, Monica Sellers of Whiteville, Melissa Sellers of Whiteville; three great grandchildren, Jonathan Brownholtz, Joshua Doyle, Zachary Brownholtz.

Her funeral service will be at 3:00 pm Sunday, March 24, 2024 at Old Zion Wesleyan Church with Pastor Ricky Bourne and Rev. Billy Roy officiating.  Burial will be in the church cemetery. 

Her family will receive friends one hour prior to her service at the church.

In lieu of flowers her family request memorials be made to Old Zion Wesleyan Church Building Fund or Missionary Fund,  10144 Swamp Fox Hwy E., Tabor City, NC 28463.
