Keith M. Thompson

After a brief battle with cancer, Keith Thompson found peace on March 30, 2022, surrounded by family.

Keith's journey through life carried him through many stages, a good career with the Movie Studio in Wilmington, NC, then on to Residential Construction and ending his career in Industrial Construction. In his later years, his interest in Geneology kept him occupied trying to find all he could about his family history.

He was a Columbus County native, the son of the late Archie Thompson and Wilbur Reeves Thompson. Also preceding him in death is brother Terry "Beau" Thompson. Left to cherish his memory is his partner of 24 years, Elizabeth Woodburn and her son Marcus "Christy" Woodburn of Riegelwood, NC. Daughter, Heather Thompson of Anderson, Indiana, Granddaughters, Madaline Thompson of Austin, Texas. Kinley and Brooklyn Woodburn of Riegelwood, NC. Brothers, Winfred Thompson of Nakina, NC and Ronnie Thompson of Ellenboro, NC. Aunts, Ileeta "Nick" Faircloth and Leona "Glean" Formyduval of Nakina, NC and Bonnie Reese of Spartanburg, SC and Jr. his faithful canine companion.

A special thank you to Hospice and everyone that has reached out with a prayer, food or just a comforting word.

A memorial service will be planned at a later date.
