On April 2, 2020, Linda Cowan Lennon, 71, of Leland, NC continued her journey into eternal life to be with her Savior, Jesus Christ. She was born September 13, 1948 in Portsmouth, VA, the daughter of the late Charles Wilton Lennon and Joyce Hall Lennon Cobb. Linda retired from International Paper Company-Riegelwood Mill, formerly Federal Paper Board Company, in Riegelwood, NC.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Hugh Memory Lennon.
She is survived by three nieces, Tara Lennon Cantrell (Cooper) of Fort Worth, TX, Leigh Lennon Lane of Delco, NC, and Tiffany Lennon Wigfall of Beulaville, NC; four great-nephews, Vincent Maxner, Jack McManus, Brison Wigfall, and Canaan Wigfall and a great-niece, Amiya Wigfall.
Linda dedicated much of her time to spiritual growth. She was a faithful church member where her talents as pianist and organist were focused on worship and praise. Linda’s beautiful voice was also used to serve the Lord. She will now be singing with the choir of angels in Heaven.
A celebration of life will be held on her birthday, Sunday, September 13, 2020 at 3:00 pm at Acme Presbyterian Church, Riegelwood, NC.
