Lisa Landreth Sorensen, 68 of Delco NC passed away on February 15th, 2026 at the Angel House Hospice Care Center in Whiteville NC.

She was born in Forsyth County NC, on February 28, 1957 to the late James and Virginia Landreth. After moving to Richmond VA, in 1973, she graduated from Huguenot High School in 1973. After becoming a certified nurses aide, she volunteered with her mother at the hospital in Richmond. She went on to assist the elderly in their homes, including her own grandmother.

Lisa married John Sorensen on September 23, 1978. One year later she gave birth to their first son, Elijah in 1979. They moved to Walkertown, NC where she gave birth to their second son Leif in 1982.

In the year 2000, she was employed by Legal Aide of NC, where she spent the next 25 years taking courses that promoted her from secretary to a paralegal.

Lisa enjoyed doing needlepoint crafts, gardening, antique shopping, collecting ceramic figurines, porcelain dolls and depression glass. She loved traveling to the mountains, the beach and visiting family. She was an avid reader, especially of the Bible and her devotional workbook. 

From 2003 on she was a devoted Nana to Carmen, John Russell and Savanah. She took them to the zoo, the movies, shopping and church. Everywhere she went the grandkids went with her.

She is survived by her husband, John Sorensen; sons, Elijah Sorensen of Delco, Leif Sorensen (Courtney) of Leland; brother, James Landreth Jr. (Terri) of Boardman Oregon; sister, Debra Landreth (John) of Pfafftown NC; her in-laws, Julia & James Porter, Jane & Bud McCants; grandchildren, Carmen Bullard (Blake), John Russell & Savanah; great- grandchild, Riley Bullard; nieces, Ana, Sarah, Katelyn Marie; nephews, Matthew (Raquel), Zach, John, Nick; great-niece, Violet; great- nephews, Lyoto & Jaxon; special family friend, Carrol Knight.

Her memorial service will be held on February 26, 2026 at 11:00Am at Livingston Baptist Church in Delco. Her family will receive friends one hour prior to her service at the church.

Her internment will be February 28, 2026 at 11:00am at Salem Presbyterian Church in Blair SC.
