Lois (Ward) Perritt

November 9, 1936 ~ September 5, 2022 (age 85)


Mrs. Lois Ward Perritt 85, of Lake Waccamaw passed on Monday, September, 5, 2022 in Southport Health & Rehab. She was born November 9, 1936 in Columbus County, the daughter of the late Dewey Ward and Pauline Pope Ward.  She was the widow the late James Maurice Perritt.

She was a lifelong member of Hallsboro Baptist Church.  She was formerly employed with Carolina Power & Light and Council Tool Company.

She is survived by a son, Jamie Perritt and wife, Penny of Southport; grandchildren,  Trey Perritt, Austin Perritt and Lexi Collins Perritt.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and brothers, Harold and Curtis Ward.

Her funeral service will be at 11:00 am Friday, September 9, 2022 at Hallsboro Baptist Church with Rev. Scott Lewis officiating.  Burial will be in Lake Waccamaw Hillcrest  Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Chuck Nance, Dwayne Nance, Rick Hooks, Dr. Nishan Barnhill, Dr. David Martin, Mark Hoffman, Dedrick Anders, Dr. Mike Martin, PhD, Robbie Norris and Billy Martin. Honorary pallbearers will be Andrew Johnson, Henry Baldwin and Shannon Hester.

Her family will receive friends 6:00 - 8:00 pm Thursday, September 8, 2022 at Peacock Funeral Home and Friday following her service at their home in Southport.
