Loudella (Simmons) Babson

Ms. Loudella Simmons Babson 82, of Ash passed on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 in Premier Living, Lake Waccamaw. She was born February 23, 1939 in Columbus County, the daughter of the late Kivie McRay Simmons, Sr. and Louie Belle Hughes Simmons.  She was the widow of Walter L. "Verney" Babson.

She is survived by a son,  Kelvin Michael Babson of Little River, SC; a daughter, Priscilla Chamberlin and husband, Sandy of Holden Beach; grandchildren, Cory Chamberlin, McCray Babson, Kelvin Michael Babson, Jr., Heather Acura, Alex Totzke, Ashley Heflin; Eleven great-grandchildren, sister-in-law, Sonda Simmons of Whiteville; special friends, Cyndi Piscitelle, Jeanette McPherson and Cindy Babson.

She was preceded in death by her husband and parents, two daughters, Barbara Lynn Milliken and Teresa Ann McLean, a brother, K.M. Simmons, a  grandson, Stuart Chamberlin, a granddaughter, Tonya Babson.

Her funeral service will be at 3:00 pm Saturday, June 19, 2021 at New Britton Baptist Church in Ash by Rev. Steve Nobles.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be 2:00 - 3:00 pm Saturday, June 19, 2021 at New Britton Baptist Church.
