Loyal Myrle (Smith) Reed

Mrs. Loyal Myrle Reed, 79, of Ash passed on Friday,  February 19, 2021 in Novant Health Brunswick Medical Center in Bolivia.   She was born September 10, 1941 the daughter of the late Lacy Smith and Alta Wooddard Smith.  Mrs. Reed was formerly a Respiratory Therapist with Grand Strand Hospital in Myrtle Beach, SC and Loris Hospital in Loris, SC.

She is survived by her husband, Michael Reed; stepsons, Michael Reed of  Lewisburg, W.VA and Mark Reed and wife, Julie of Keiffer, W. VA, two brothers, Dale Smith of Ash and Garriss Smith and wife, Carol of Ash; two sisters, Dila Gore and husband Harold of Nakina, Kay Wagner and husband, Eddie of Shallotte; two grandchildren, Frances and Lacy Chesney; a great grandson, Phillip Chesney.

She was preceded in death by her daughters, Shannon McLamb and Becky Chesney and her parents.

Her funeral service will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, February 23, 2021 graveside at the Bill Inman Cemetery in Ash.
