Margie Suggs Obituary

Margie Moore Suggs, 96, of Whiteville went to be with Jesus on April 15, 2025. She was born September 18, 1928 to the late James and Esther Moore. She was the loving mother of four children, four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. She was a member of Whiteville Pentecostal Church and then Northwood Assembly. She was the co-owner of Confidential Loans in Whiteville and was a Social Worker with the Columbus County Department of Social Services.


She is survived by two sons, Chris Suggs (Dale) of Florence SC, Larry Suggs (Vicki) of Chadbourn NC; a daughter, Debra Bordeaux (Harlee) of Supply NC; grandchildren, Kip Young, Andrea Paddock, Whitney Gonzales, Jake Suggs; great-grandchildren, Destiny Young, MacKenzie Young, Christopher Paddock, Cara Paddock, Ryan Paddock, Sunny Gonzales, Ellen Martin; great-great grandchildren, Hudson Sessoms, Camren Sessoms; and many, many nieces and nephews.


She was preceded in death by her parents, her son, Terry Suggs; three brothers, one sister and several nieces and nephews. 


Her graveside memorial service will be held Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at 2:00pm at Peacock's Columbus Memorial Park with Pastor Ron Fields and Pastor Wiley Clark.


Her family will receive friends one hour prior to her service at Peacock Funeral Home.
