Maria Serafin 81, of Whiteville, NC passed on May 29, 2026 in Columbus County. She was born on June 20, 1944 in Poland to the late Anna Surowiec and Jozef Bednarz.
She is survived by her loving husband Wladyslaw Serafin; sons, Jozef Serafin and wife Magdalena; Krzysztof Serafin and wife Celina, Piotr Serafin, Stanistaw Serafin; daughters, Elzbieta and husband Walter Czartoszewski, Teresa and husband Grzegorz Lidwin, Anna and husband Mariusz Mojsa, Agnieszka Grzybowski; grandchildren, Daniel, David, Lukasz, Wiktoria and Joanna Serafin, Patrycia Lukasz Koc, Monika Sylvia Czartoszewski, Kevin Sebastian Alex, Jacob Lidwin, Magdalena, Mateusz, and Adrian Mojsa.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and a daughter, Leokadia Koc.
Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, June 2, 2026 at Peacock’s Chapel.
Burial will follow in Peacock’s Columbus Memorial Park.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 1, 2026 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Peacock Funeral Home.
