Marla H (Harris) Long Obituary

Marla K. Harris Long 69, of Whiteville  passed on Friday, December 6, 2024 at her home.  She was born May 15, 1955 in  Iowa, the daughter of John Junior Harris and Betty Ann Harris Edkin.


She is survived by her husband, Ray Long; a daughter, Kelly Patricia Carlson Kimzey (Richard) of TN; step children, Nancy Smith Moss of Whiteville, Kristie Long Lee (Jasper P. Lee Jr) of Benson, Tiffany Michelle Long, Horace R. Long II; sister Joan M. Harris Veronie (Lee) of Topeka KS, Shelly L. Harris Myers (Glenn); brother, Scott Kenneth Harris, Jeffery James Harris, Wayne Eugene Edkin (Kelly); grandchildren, Macelynn Cartrette, Logan Harmon, Jordan Smith, Chandler Smith,  Hazel Smith, Jasper P. Lee III, Kathryn Black, Jessica Sibbett; great grandchildren, Haizlynn Kennedy, Alaina Kennedy, Joanna Lee Welch, Kiersten Marie Spivey, Mason Ray.


She was preceded in death by a son, Mitchell Allen Smith, a granddaughter, Abigail (Abby) Gracelynn Smith; a great grandson, Ryland David Cartrette Hines, Brother,Michael John Harris; sister, Linda Ann Harris Selbach.


Her funeral service will be at 2:00 pm Tuesday, December 10, 2024 at Westminster Presbyterian Church with Rev. Mark Fisher officiating.  Burial will be in Peacock's Columbus Memorial Park.


Her family will receive friends at 1:00 pm Tuesday at Westminster Presbyterian Church prior to her service.
