Matthew Register Obituary

Matthew Nelson Register, 46, of Whiteville, passed away at Columbus Regional Medical Center. He was born July 20, 1977 in Robeson County, the son of Wanda Ezzell and the late John Gibson Register. He was a veteran having served as a Staff Sergeant in the NC National Guard.


He is survived by his mother of Whiteville; two sons, Jacob Matthew Register and fiance, Payton of Mount Holly, and Austin David Register of Supply; two daughters, Sara Alexis Register of Southport and Anna Michelle Register of Supply; two sisters, Amanda McPherson (Randal) of Whiteville and Sasha Locklear (Eric) of Saint Pauls; a brother, Jamie Faulk of MI; a grandchild, Waylon Register and maternal grandparents, Freddie and Ann Ezzell of Wilmington.


A memorial service is being planned by his family 2:00 pm  Friday, February 7, 2024 at the NC National Guard Armory in Whiteville.
