Matthew Gordon Townsend, Jr. Obituary
Matthew Gordon Townsend Jr. of Whiteville, NC went home to be with the Lord October 7, 2023. He is the son of Matt Gordon Townsend and Natasha Hope Gore. Matthew was a junior at North Carolina State University.
He is survived by his little brother, Lawson Sadler Townsend. his paternal grandparents, Clarence Gordon Townsend, Gail Worrell Townsend, and maternal grandmother, Vickie Fisher Worley, many uncles, cousins, and friends.
He is proceeded in death by his stepfather, Scott Lee Nail, his maternal grandfather, Daniel Lawson Gore.
His Memorial Service will be at 3:00 pm Tuesday October 17, 2023 at Peacocks Chapel with Rev. Andy Anderson officiating.
His family will receive friends 2:00 - 3:00 pm Tuesday at Peacock Funeral Home prior to his service in the chapel.
